The TAYLOR Builder’s Edition 517e Wild Honey Burst acoustic/electric guitar is a fresh take on a traditional sound. The Grand Pacific body shape serves up a more seasoned tone than the time-honoured Dreadnought shape, with a round-shoulder design that allows notes to overlap and blend as they sustain and resonate.
The torrefied spruce top and V-Class bracing produce a strong and clear low end, free of the woofy character that can cause trouble when trying to mic a dreadnought guitar.
The compound neck carve makes barre chords as effortless at the nut as single line runs in the upper register, and chamfered edges all around make the guitar feel smaller than it is.
ES2 electronics complete the package, which is also available in an alluring Wild Honey Burst colour. It includes a hardshell case.
