Description
This original artwork by Yasuhiro Onishi takes its name from a fictional planet whose existence was proposed by Zecharia Sitchin in the 1976 book The Twelfth Planet. It is often referred to as Planet X and lends its name to the Nibiru cataclysm, a supposed disastrous collision between Earth and a large planetary object that certain groups believe will bring about the end of the world. In this piece, death and destruction is alluded to in part by the halo that sits upon the haunting figure that is part lunar, part Grim Reaper.
