Description
This original artwork by Yasuhiro Onishi is one of a series of small portraits featuring shadowing characters, rendered in a manner that makes them slightly uncomfortable viewing. The works display a playful twist on the style of the old masters with references spanning regal portraiture to medieval plague doctors. This particular peice, entitled Mr Avery features a macabre figure with a strong beak-like nose. The works are impressive in their detail, considering their small size.
