Description
These UNIT Drawing were created using masking and folding techniques. This series of 4 were worked on together. The paper is first divided by folding in half through the centre horizontally,vertically and diagonally. The folded elements are sprayed to create the background. Blocks of colour are then masked off and sprayed. The first block of colour which is added varies in the placement of the Quadrilateral (RRR) Rectangle, Rhombus or Rhomboid, The next block is placed in relationship to the first and so on until all three elements (Rectangle, Rhombus or Rhomboid) are present in each work. The method of masking and spraying precludes the possibility of visualising the finished result to some extent and as a guide I rely on the geometric nature of the elements.
