Description
This original artwork by Yasuhiro Onishi takes its name from a hypothetical ‘lost continent’ once thought to exist in the Indian or Pacific Oceans. Lemuria’s existence has since been disproved by modern theories of plate tectonics. In this work, the artists attempts to portray this doomed land. The sky hangs low and dark, flashes of light threaten a storm that could destroy everything. This small and intricate rendering in acrylic turns a traditional landscape into something dramatic and haunting.
