Description
This original artwork by Yasuhiro Onishi is a small and intricate rendering in acrylic. The piece takes it’s name from the Isle of Avalon in the Arthurian Legend, the place where King Arthur’s sword Excalibur was forged. The looming lunar presence is almost ghostly, turning a traditional landscape scene into something other-worldly. This work is one of a series featuring mythological lands from literature and folklore.
