Painting from the series Watch with mother. This series makes obvious reference to my career as a Set Designer for Television and explores my relationship with my mother whilst she was ill. The Jelly and Ice-cream pun indicates past good times with her, but in this year that started the banking crisis, and with all our savings tied up in the Icelandic bank Icesave, it was a bitter sweet year.
