Description
In this piece, Pauwels is depicting the desolate feeling when the party is over, when everybody has left, when you are confronted with the reality of your own emptiness. Like most of Pauwels’ work, the background of this piece is built up through of different layers of paper, paint, sand, text-fragments and paint. The figures are brought on almost transparent with pencil and paint.
