Description
Mr Gold is from a series of small scale portraits by Yasuhiro Onishi. The works are somewhat uneasy viewing, the figures themselves being shadowy characters that are as much disturbing as comical. This particular piece is reminiscent of a historical portrait of a young prince and yet the face is ghoulish and unsettling. Despite their diminutive size, the works are intricately detailed and intriguing.
